The Archway
This self-reflective piece was originally inspired by Rae Klein, whose surreal art I have taken inspiration from. However, as the piece has progressed, I have added my own perspective. I am very happy with the way this piece turned out. While I had my own themes when working on this piece, I believe that the audience is given the liberty to form their own connections to it.
I often struggle with how others perceive me, and their accounts don't align with my self-view. In The Archway, I have abstracted this feeling of otherness to communicate the proverbial blockade I am facing in my social life.
